I’m Perri Kersh—a mom, wife and professional organizer in Chapel Hill, NC. I love to come up with creative ideas to tread a bit lighter on the world and accumulate less stuff that just gets in the way of living. While watching Bill Clinton promote his book “Giving” on Oprah, and then checking my email to find THREE invitations to “shopping parties”, I hatched the idea to throw a new kind of Sip and Shop party…a Giving Party! I enlisted the help of some creative, generous friends, and the idea became a reality.

Mary Beth Grealey jumped on the idea. She’s a project manager and runs MediaCoop in Pittsboro, NC. Mary Beth had endless amounts of energy, an incredibly generous spirit and great connections to local printers, creative types, and other “do-ers” in our community. She helped with Giving Party 2007 and 2008 and encouraged her sister to throw a Low Country Giving Party in Charleston, SC.

We’ve also received loads of help from friends Neva Bartholomew and Tamara Lackey in 2007, and Diane Belden and Casey Saussy in 2008. We hope the party continues in Chapel Hill and other locations around the US.
